Terms of use
Last updated October 2026.
By using Sawplan — the website at sawplan.work and the app at app.sawplan.work — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We keep the language plain because you have work to do.
The service
Sawplan helps you plan linear timber cuts from store lengths and part lists. Plans are generated in your browser from the inputs you provide. We do not guarantee that any plan is suitable for structural, regulatory, or supplier-specific requirements — always verify critical dimensions on site.
Pro, 3D design and AI
3D design, model import and AI-assisted design are part of Pro. Pro includes a monthly AI-unit allowance and a daily cap; AI units measure usage and are not a number of designs. Current plans and allowances are shown on our pricing section and in the app’s billing settings. 3D models and AI drafts are planning aids: they do not replace engineering calculations, connection design, approvals, or checks against local building requirements.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate registration information. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your content
You retain ownership of the project and yard data you enter. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that data solely to operate Sawplan (including share links you create). You must not upload unlawful content or use the service to harass others.
Share links
Share links are unlisted but not secret in the cryptographic sense — anyone with the URL can view the project. Do not put confidential information in shared projects. You can revoke a link at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without permission.
- Overload or disrupt the service (including automated scraping beyond normal use).
- Attempt to access another user’s data without authorisation.
- Reverse engineer the service except where applicable law explicitly permits it.
Availability and changes
We aim for reliable uptime but do not promise uninterrupted access. Features may change, be added, or be removed. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or pose a security risk.
Disclaimer
Sawplan is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Material estimates, waste figures, and costs are only as good as the stock data and prices you enter.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sawplan and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profit, materials, or data arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you use Sawplan without charge).
Termination
You may stop using Sawplan at any time. We may terminate or suspend access if you breach these terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits) remain in effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where Sawplan is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue for disputes, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
